Hiring: Senior Designer

Opus Creative is looking for a Senior Designer who has outstanding visual design skills and a comprehensive understanding of interface, usability and information design principles. You will work hand in hand with the Art Director to shape concepts for Nike, Intel, Autodesk, and Lucy—along with several other clients.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Art Director to design and produce concepts, microsites, templates and banners with consistent quality.
- Conceive and execute functional design solutions.
- Assist in the creation and development of communication ideas.
- Contribute to the development of the creative department.
- Stay on top of latest trends and industry news.
- Use company-issued Nerf gun when necessary.

- Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Ability to easily articulate creative ideas.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of interactivity and the web.
- Knowledge of the strengths and limitations of Flash, Javascript and HTML/CSS.

Functional Requirements:
- Strong portfolio with 3+ years interactive design and motion experience.
- Expertise with the latest versions of OS X, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash.
- Experience in Flash techniques and knowledge of programmatic motion with Actionscript.
- Ability to handle external resource integration (audio, video and other media) in Flash.
- Expertise in Flash compression techniques and file-structuring practice.
- Experience with and exposure to design for CSS/Ajax required.

Additional Assets:
- Experience with and exposure to Adobe After Effects, Javascript, and/or XML.
- Illustration and/or matte painting.
