iPhone SPAM solution
iphone SPAM solution
i have found an iphone SPAM elimination solution that is very easy and works like a charm. It involves gmail and having your own domain where you can create multiple(2) email addresses. I don't have time to post it right now but here's the steps in short form:
Essential items:
- Gmail account
- Your spam attacked email
- new never used email address
1. Get a gmail account and enable POP and forwarding. Forward and archive all mail from the personal email to the new fresh email address
2. Set all incoming email, from the site admin level, to get forwarded to the gmail
3. create the new fresh email account on your iphone and mac mail. only pull from that one. Set the incoming mail from your domain and the outgoing mail to gmail's smtp.gmail.com:587
What you get:
Gmail sucks out all the spam and you get to have your real domain appear in the emails that get sent out. Added bonus all your sent mail is now archived online as well as all the mail your recieve in a searchable permanent archive.
Enjoy.

The Original Art Show at The Society of Illustrators
The Society of Illustrators in New York is host to so many wonderful shows throughout the year. But the hands-down, all-out, gotta-love-it, most charming is always the Original Art Show. This juried exhibition, which is on display through November 21, “celebrates the fine art of children’s book illustration.” And what a celebration it is: over 150 original works selected from the books themselves are on display. Best of all, once you’ve toured the show, you can buy any of the books you’ve discovered on the spot.

Cocorecho!
This was the reason I came to work late today. I stayed up playing this game with my husband. Cocorecho is such a beautiful and well thought of game. I love the graphics, animation, and sound of this one!

Black White + Gray: Portrait of Sam Wagstaff and Robert Mapp

"My collecting is a private affair, somewhat like a game of idiot's delight. You play it by yourself" - Sam Wagstaff
Sam Wagstaff met Robert Mapplethorpe in 1972, when Mapplethorpe was leaving the loft apartment he shared with Patti Smith near the Chelsea Hotel on 23rd Street. Mapplethorpe was 26-years-old, Wagstaff 51; though appearing complete opposites, they became lovers and formed an intense bond that would last for the rest of their lives.
Mapplethorpe would become one of the most celebrated and controversial artists of his day, while Wagstaff, who'd been an influential art curator and became a moneyed, fanatical collector of photographic art, remained an enigmatic presence, something of a neglected figure today.
James Crump's film is a bold reclamation of Wagstaff's legacy. In telling the story of his fascinating life, transformed through shared passion and experience with Mapplethorpe, it becomes a film about New York, its art world, being gay in the city from the 50s to the 80s, the philosophy of photography and the power (and the art) of the curator.
Photographs from Wagstaff's amazing collection are presented beautifully, and Patti Smith, a committed friend of both men, makes insightful contributions.
