Biography:

I’m a British artist and designer with nearly a decades experience of working in interactive design. In that time I’ve created and directed digital campaigns and destination sites for clients big and small, including Kellogg’s, Coke, Vauxhall, The BBC, Diesel and many others.

As Creative Director at magneticNorth I was responsible for the visual side of our work, forging alongside Brendan Dawes, the international reputation of this UK agency.

I am a design practitioner as well as a director and I have designed many award winning campaigns and websites. I make identity, animation, illustration, film, sculpture, painting and drawing fused with technology to realise the original vision.

I have written and lectured on the subjects of design, art and technology throughout my career, making panel appearances, industry comment and supporting young creatives in whatever ways I can. I’ve also had the pleasure of working with some brilliant and inspirational people from Martin Hughes, Paul Neave, Andreas Odendaal, Danny Brown and many other less well known but no less talented folk.

My work has been featured in industry and consumer publications alike including Creative Review, Communication Arts, Design Week, The D&AD Annual, GQ, The Times and Wired and my work has won and been nominated at The FWA, The Webbys, Design Week, Adobe Y, LIA and D&AD.

Interests:

Art, design and technology and what happens when these three things meet.

I'm also massively into music and music graphics, I'm the Art Director of an independent Norwegian record label called Luna Flicks... they only release on vinyl so I get a nice outing into print design when I do the covers.
