Hello.

Why even bother with illustration?

I figure if I'm going to put all this energy and time into illustration, I might as well do something different. My paintings are mostly based on stuff that happens in my life. Usually silly little things that most people overlook. Those are the gems that make great paintings.

I work in pastels on paper. I'm trying to carve out a pastel niche, if that makes sense. Pastel gets a bad rap. People think of it as a medium for old ladies drawing still lifes of flowers. I get down and dirty with my hands and create bold, vibrant, fun imagery. A combination of really tight images with loose gestural ones makes for a unique look.

Currently, I am working on a large commission. Biggest one I've ever done. Intimidating, but going very well. I'll post it when it's done. I'm up for commissions if it is the right fit. If someone gives me a very, very simple brief, I'll take it and put my own spin on it. Tons of fun.

Can't wait to see all the great artwork on Computerlove.net. It's gonna be great!
By the way, I'm kind of working on my own web site. Who knows when it will be ready, but I'll let you know when it's up.
