Gabriel Suchowolski, known as Microbians, born in Buenos Aires in 1972 has been living in Madrid for a long time. He is co-founder of The Cocoe Conspiracy, hand in hand with Dr. Jean Duprez. They principally work in Motion Graphics, Animation, and Art Direction for broadcasting and advertising. Olympics 2008 Monkey Movie - BBC Sport

As you said it's very similar to the opening scene of the opera "monkey journey to the west".
I guess it's for England/Europe only! As far as I know, China is not very fond of that kind of buddhism-based stories.
Its well done but a little bit boring isn't it? And it's just sad how lousy the quality of the youtube video is
