V for Vendetta

Went to see V for Vendetta last night with Mr Magnasoma and his Mrs. To be honest I was ready to go home after the first 30 minutes, aside from the insanely weak storyline Miss Portman's English accent rattled me continously. Everything about this film really didnt work for me, the costumes, dialogue, effects and so on. On a positive note though we followed the movie up with some damn good noodles and Tiger beer at Wagamamas!

I actually liked it. Alot. Liked the politics and idea behind the movie. Brings up the subject that terrorists isn't "evil doers". You need to understand and know your enemy, to solve the problem, not simply throw away the reasons for the problem and do even worse yourself with (legal terror?) war. We need to understand why someone risks their lifes for a cause. It's not enough to say they are evil and hate freedom. That is so wrong...

The movie was pretty simple and sometimes it felt they tried to explain the movie to a stupid audience. Maybe you felt insulted by that. Still think the movie is good, for the tons of actually stupid people covering this earth. Maybe I'm stupid as well? ;-)

What irony - you disliked the film but enjoyed Wagamamas.
