Whats this!? some new functionality for users profiles or just for the Computerlove profile?

Actually we alpha testing this for the newsfeed only. But maybe this is interesting for members too... What do you think ?

I think it could work well for the news feed, there's a lot of good content on cpluv that people can miss if they don't check for a few days or so, so a popular posts list would be very helpfull.

If it was used in user profiles then it would work best as a watch list of particular posts from certain members, but you already have that functionality with connections and the profile feed.

There's so many functionalities that you could develop along the lines of cross media sharing (as with Flock ) but cpluv does things so well already that it can happily stay the way it is.

One thing I might suggest is developing the use of the categories and tags. I don't really use either as there's no clear access to searching for categories of posts, it would really help to make cpluv an even bigger resource for inspiration on great art and design.

Keep up the brilliant work!

I completly agree with the use of tags, its in the pipeline.
It's a kind of shame to not have a descent search engine on Computerlove... :)

I like the concept of this feature, so that people can keep up with the best content and discussions. But I think it would work best as a perminant feature in either of the 'sidebars' so it's always visable. :)

also was wondering what decides what is a popular post, is it the amount of comments or do you track the click throughs on the links too? :)

SomeOfUs Posted by: SomeOfUs 170 days ago

Yes i agree... There is something similar in the pipe.
We track clicks on post items actually.
