Birth control campaign at Bangkok
This is one of the most shocking campaigns I've ever seen. To promote Thailand public family planning programmes the advertising agency Ogilvy One Worldwide created this simple but truly effective guerrilla marketing campaign.
Ogilvy One installed false garbage bins on special areas of the city, near the University of Bangkok looking for a young target. Those garbage bins where equipped with a device with a movement sensor. Each time a person passed by the cans, they emitted the sound of a child crying. When opening the cover, the viewer found a message inviting them to know more about a contraceptive pill in the site of the Schering. Great idea but a bit annoying, I can hardly imagine going to university with all those garbage bins crying on my way. Of course the campaign caused controversy and media coverage.

Oh, that's kind of shocking. Not sure what I think about of that.
