Ginsu, Rosso Toyz

Due to popular demand I have started creating some paper toys based on my old comix characters of the Rosso Factory. The first toy created is the character of Ginsu who was one of the most important Rosso characters and without any doubt the most loved by the people. This character will have two versions, one astonished and one so angried, as he is quite schizophrenic...

I will go on making the rest of the characters when having some free time and with all of them I will create a new site where to get the templates, print them and make the toys.

I would like to give big thanks to Mike Castello of MostWantedPaper.com because of letting me use his paper templates. I will also be working very soon with Mike in another paper toys project, so just be on the loop about this!!

Orphaned land, new logo

Some months ago, Orphaned Land, from Israel, one of the most important death metal bands ever, asked me to make a newer version of their old original logo. They wanted something that seemed like a piece of jewelery, shining, glowing, with a lot of effects and a metal touch. You can see the result at the image. This new logo will be used for all the official stuff from the band, posters, albums, clothing...

Thanks a lot to Kobi Farhi, the singer of the band, for believing on my work.

Motstøyfestivalen'07 site

The new site for Motstøyfestivalen07 is now online. This has been my last website work so far, having been designed and developed during the past month of May. It is supposed to be the meeting point for all the fans of extreme and progressive metal that are interested on one of the most important music festivals of Norway.

iikki.com at Casadecor'07!!

I have a big surprise for all of you. And this is a surprise because very few of you knew that I had made this project. I am talking about my design for Casadecor'07, the most important Interior Design and Decoration event all around the world, celebrated in Madrid, Spain, from May 10th to June10th.
The acclaimed decorator Raquel Chamorro asked my friends of Bombardearte to create a wall design for one of her halls at the event. I, as a part of Bombardearte, created a design for this room (you can see the original design at the above image); and then the guys of Boamistura (also members of Bombardearte) turned the design into reality with their art, making some changes following Raquel's guides.

Hardingrock - 'Grimen'

As I told you some days ago I have finished two album designs. Today I am showing the first of them, that I have already added to the Print section of my portfolio. This is the first release of the project Hardingrock (Ihsahn, Starofash and Knut Buen) from Norway; and it is entitled Grimen. This will be a mixture between rock/metal, Norwegian folk and avantgarde music, and it is supposed to be released very very very soon.
As you can see on the site, the artwork is very clean and simple; based on editorial and book design. The painting on the cover is from a Norwegian painter called Nils Bergslien. The idea when creating this layout was to make an album similar to classical music ones, based on photography or paintings and typography. I hope you like it, we are so proud of it!!

Eloole works

Some weeks ago I received the amazing work of my friend Eloísa, from Eloole.com, who is a designer of clothes and toys. I asked her time ago to make a couple of tshirts for me and Alba, my girl. I designed both pieces and she made the amazing handmade work you can see on the pics.
The first tshirt is Alba's one, a white clothe with a pink-chic design, based on the logo of rtxcite.com. The second is my tshirt, a black one with a typo design for iikki.com.
Thanx for all Elo, your work is amazing and you know I love it!! Thanx to you too, Lluigi, hope to see you back again soon.

IIKKI.com AT LAST LAUNCHED!!

After a month of hard work, the new IIKKI.com has been at last launched. Designed by me, with a lot of references and influences from various Norwegian sites, and programed by the awesome developer Mr.doob; this is the evolution of my previous portfolio known as rtxcite.com.
This is also a new step on my life as designer, wanting to have a very clean, serious and professional portfolio, where the works can show their importance; instead of the previous site, where the site itself had a lot of personality. We have tried to give the best of us here, but I am sure you will find some mistakes or bugs during the first days of the new site. In that case, please feel free to contact with me at ritxi at iikki.com and we will try to fix it as soon as possible.

iikki.com release date!!

The release day of the new iikki.com is now decided... and it will be very soon; N*EXT SUNDAY MAY 20th.*
There you will find my new portfolio with all my selected works of Print, Web, Video and a new category called Deco; and of course all the Info about me and the work.
I am looking so much forward to launch this site as it supposes a new step in my working life, and I think the biggest one ever. So I hope to meet you there and then!!

Decasa, new tv channel

I have participated on the creation of a new Spanish tv channel to be released this afternoon. Its name is Decasa and it is dedicated to do-it-yourself work, gardening, interior design and pets.
I have made some animations and illustrations for the ID's and promos, while the main work has been done by Pep Sempere and Javier Santaella.
The channel can be seen at Imagenio and it will also be played at *Digital +* very soon. More info about the channel to be found here.

Back from OFFF07

So here I am again! Back to work in Madrid. It has been a great experience once again. Three fantastic days at a fantastic city and with fasntastic people. I would like to send my biggest hugs to all the friends that have made these days a so funny experience:

My conference about the TesisDigital06 project was so well received by the public on the Openroom, and also my Promsite in Motion video, to be seen on my site (iikki.com), was a big success when played at the Showroom. You can see here some homemade pictures of my conference, while I awaits for the official press ones.
