iphone SPAM solution
i have found an iphone SPAM elimination solution that is very easy and works like a charm. It involves gmail and having your own domain where you can create multiple(2) email addresses. I don't have time to post it right now but here's the steps in short form:
Essential items:
- Gmail account
- Your spam attacked email
- new never used email address
1. Get a gmail account and enable POP and forwarding. Forward and archive all mail from the personal email to the new fresh email address
2. Set all incoming email, from the site admin level, to get forwarded to the gmail
3. create the new fresh email account on your iphone and mac mail. only pull from that one. Set the incoming mail from your domain and the outgoing mail to gmail's smtp.gmail.com:587
What you get:
Gmail sucks out all the spam and you get to have your real domain appear in the emails that get sent out. Added bonus all your sent mail is now archived online as well as all the mail your recieve in a searchable permanent archive.
