Born on Vancouver Island, grew up in Nova Scotia and have lived in Ottawa, Toronto and London, UK.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University, Ottawa.
Worked for Canada's CHUM television for seven years doing everything from marketing to producing. Was an on-air presenter, known as Shameless Shannon, for four years.
Lived in London UK for two years and worked for the the now defunct Moving Pictures magazine for the 2003 Cannes Film Festival and for shots magazine.
Relocated back to Canada in 2004, briefly worked as a production coordinator before becoming the publicist and head of marketing for Reginald Pike and UNTITLED.
Launched Glossy in April 2006. Glossy is publicity & marketing for advertising and creativity.

Frame Four

Frame Four, repping photographers Babbette Hines, Marcy Robinson and Aaron Ruell, has just been launched by Gary Naccarato (who is also the Head of Creative at Biscuit Filmworks USA). Frame Four's first exhibit runs from November 7th until the end of December at Eastside Studios in Los Angeles. More info here or on the Frame Four site.

In Memory of Nagi Noda

It is with great sadness that I pass on this news. This past Sunday the super talented Japanese artist, designer and director Nagi Noda passed away. If you are not familiar with her amazing body of work, please take a moment to view it here. Please join me and light a candle or some incense in her memory (Japanese tradition). My deepest sympathies go out to all those who knew her.

Crush Autumn Montage 08

Crush is a directorial collective and production company specializing in concept, design, visual effects and post production. Their recent work includes spots for Vespa, Lexus, the viral campaign for Douglas Coupland’s latest novel The Gum Thief and the two most recent music videos for R.E.M.; “Hollow Man” and “Man-Sized Wreath”. Crush has just signed to Zoo for US representation as a directorial collective.

Rolling Stones tongue logo sells for $92,500

The Victoria and Albert Museum has purchased the original artwork of the Rolling Stones' tongue logo for $92,500. John Pasche designed the logo in 1970 for £50. Read the full story on Creative Review's Blog.

Giant Dolls Promote Sessions

White dolls have been popping up all over Toronto's downtown core throughout the month of August. This week the 30-foot tall versions appeared. These guerrilla tactics are to promote Fido Sessions, a quarterly series of events promoting art, travel and design. Psyop uses 9,580 paper dolls in Converse music video

To celebrate its 100th anniversary Converse has released a music video for My Drive-Thru featuring Pharrell Williams, N.E.R.D., Santogold, and Julian Casablancas. The video was created by Converse with partners including Anomaly, Cornerstone and the directing and animation talents of Psyop.
