Biography:

Pierrick Calvez is an independent Art Director and Graphic Designer. He currently resides and works in Paris, France.

He made his debut to the online designers community in 2002 with the release of the art project "Days In a Day". The piece received international acclaim and laid the groundwork for future projects : strong attention to the user experience through design and storytelling.

Pierrick Calvez leads today his own studio 1H05.com. His work has been recognized by the FlashForward, the FlashFestival, the OFFF, the FWA and the offline press, such as Etapes and Liberation.
His Fine Arts background drives him to experimental approaches while his conception of graphic design remains structured and formal. In his daily work, he likes to juggle with strict CSS-based layouts, user-interfaces and strongly narrative-oriented Flash projects.

In early 2007, Pierrick Calvez joined forces with the leading French digital agency UZIK in the position of Creative Director, for whom he directed and designed award winning websites such as Le Coq Sportif Media Browser and Champagne Perrier-Jouët.

His clients also include Chloé, Diptyque, Nina-Ricci, Alain Ducasse, Clara Collins, Orange, Motorola, France-Televisions and Sci-Fi Chanel, mostly in the luxury, fashion and entertainment media fields.

Fragments

"Few contemporary artists portray animals with the empathy of Josh Keyes. At once meticulous and fantastic, poignant and absurd, Keyes’ carefully crafted drawings and paintings depict animals isolated dramatically in fragments of their natural environment, overrun with shards of man-made artifice and debris. Seemingly lost and stranded in their dreamlike stage sets, they look like characters in some existential drama written by a modern-day environmentalist Samuel Beckett (...)"

Anyway, the paintings of Josh Keyes are still so intriguing.
