NSW Police Department Ads(Internal News)

DDB Sydney and the NSW Police Department have released a print campaign to raise awareness of the fact that the number of teenagers dying as a result of listening to ipods while crossing the road is beginning to reach “epidemic proportions”. Seems like an interesting ad, the execution is great, but I think it could use a bit of variation in my opinion (The road location and the Ipod models, etc).

Young Social Entrepreneur Motion Video
Idea!s did this Motion Video as an invitation for young people to start making their own Social Enterprise. It was an exciting project for us because not a lot of "funky" looking videos come out from the seemingly uptight group of social entrepreneurs... We did this in a weeks time... and yea... it was pro bono. :D enjoy!

CommandShift3(Internal News)

CommandShift3 is where websites do battle!
On CommandShift3, you are presented with the screenshots of two websites side by side. If you click the screenshot of the site you think looks best, the page reloads and you start all over again. It never ends.
So far there have been 597322 clicks. The energy it took to click 597322 times raised the earth's temperature by .0000000000000000087271071 degrees, contributing to the melting of the polar ice caps. :D
Give it a try!

The Whale Hunt(Internal News)
The Whale Hunt is an experiment in human storytelling by Jonathan Harris.

The purpose of this project was threefold:
"First, to experiment with a new interface for human storytelling. The photographs are presented in a framework that tells the moment-to-moment story of the whale hunt. Second, to subject myself to the same sort of incessant automated data collection process that I usually write computer programs to conduct (in previous projects like We Feel Fine, Lovelines, Universe, 10x10, and Phylotaxis). Third, to take an epic personal experience from the physical world and translate it optimally to the Internet, so that many people can share it."

Design to Make a Difference

Idea!s in cooperation with Kape Isla presents: Design to Make a Difference
Design to Make a Difference is a venue for young designers (whether in fields of the arts, graphic design, architecture, photography or industrial design) to share their works and ideas among other designers, and possibly network and collaborate on projects that will hopefully result in positive change. It will serve as a platform for ideas, inspiration and action, encouraging a culture of creativity that aims for social impact.
Program will run for approximately one-and-a-half-hours to two hours, with each speaker given 10 minutes to show his/her work, and briefly discuss their ideas. 6 speakers will be presenting , with an open forum at the end.
Design to Make a Difference will be launched at the Philippine Coffee Board's Coffee Festival, with a session that will begin at 7:30 PM on October 23 (Tuesday), at Kape Isla at Serendra.
Presentors are:
- ERIK MATTI screens TV spots that move people
- DAN LICHAUCO builds a case for green architecture
- ROCKY SANCHEZ talks about Campaigns Social Response
- FARA MANUEL shows how it's easy being green in graphic design
- DAN MATUTINA talks about a youth-run design group for development organizations

Better Design for the Better Good(Internal News)

I just recently spotted Design 21 - a Social Design Network, and so far I've been impressed by the user generated content it contains. It has no social networking features but what it does best is invite designers and inform them about social design and how they could help. I got into Design 21 because I was looking for a site that functions as a connector for nonprofits and creatives (our group is in the process of making one)and I discovered this. :D And it's really interesting to find inspirations such as Design 21.
The online platform im currently developing is called Oneline: Open Ideas. It's got some features like Design 21 and others that are very different. :D

Balloon Wars: Discussions - Global Warming(Internal News)

Part of the Balloon Wars illustration series im doing. For this one the discussion is about Global warming. The balloons represent the different sectors involved in the discussion. The difficulty in making the necessary solutions for the environment is sometimes dependent in words, in discussions, in the verbal exchange of ideas and ideals.
This is my translation. :D
