Vanity Fair exhibition 13/04/08

I was really excited after I red about upcoming Vanity Fair exhibition in magazine, the times saturday supplement. I knew I'm going to travel to London to see it, and love it!
This exhibition presents 150 different portraits of well known art figures, poets, actors/actresses, music, sport, and politic figures. Exhibition shows photos from the early 20 century up to nowadays. I have found old pictures very inspiring. Photography was such a luxury back than. Some of the portraits looks more like painting, also the view on "celebrities" has changed completely, but better not to go there.
I loved work by Baron De Meyer, Edward Steichen, Cecil Beaton, and specially by Man Ray. Some of his work reminds me of Salvador Dali, surrealistic pieces. Maybe they were mates?
Talking about contemporary photographers. I like Annie leibovit'z shoots. In her portraits persons is in the centre and it looks like everything around just stops. I like portrait of Robert De niro.
My other favorites is Dafydd Jones photo of Mick Jagger and Madonna and Tony Curtis on After Oscar party.
I also like photo by Karl lagerfeld, and one of my another favorite photofraphers David Lachapelle. I could write, and write about this exhibition, but instead of Im going to go through VF catalogue, (again!)
