Sergio Ng, a Brazilian designer, has plans to release his Suicidal Banana character as a 6″ tall hand-painted resin line. The above character is just the first of a number of different designs…all revolving around the tasty fruit trying to end it all. Via Plastic & Plush.

Dan Bergeron Documents The Residents Of Regent Park(Internal News)

We've been fans of Toronto based Fauxreel for quite some time. This latest project is one of our favorites.

Dan tells us:
"The buildings of Regent Park are in the process of being torn down and rebuilt, so the idea is supposed to make the residents literally become part of the physical landscape, challenge some of the pre-conceived notions that other Torontoian's have of these people and stoke the discussion surrounding the displacement of some of regent park's residents as they are kicked out of their homes for this re-build...

Recycled Cardboard Sculpture by Chris Gilmour(Internal News)

With all the exploration of recycled materials in green design these days, the work of artist Chris Gilmour seems like a logical and amusing next step in terms of upcycling and eco-friendly art processes. Gilmour, an English artist based in Italy, re-creates objects and machines from our everyday lives using only packing cardboard and glue. Industrial cardboard is typically used only once for shipping materials and then wastefully discarded. Often adorned with logos and other graphics, the remnants of the material’s former use is an aspect that Gilmour wryly incorporates into his sculptural work, with an ironic wink to the viewer.

Storm Troopin'(Internal News)

"Started with one. Now there's seven, with an eighth on assignment with my boyfriend in England (he was always posing mine and I could tell he needed one of his own, though he was reluctant to admit it at first - heehee!). It's waihey 's fault. She started it. Then I in turn infected ShellyS, and a few others."

These little guys are just way too fun and deserved a set of their own. They've got so much personality and I think everyone who loves toys, Star Wars fan or not, NEEDS one of their own.
