The Laptopbattle is a competitive event for laptop musicians of all genres. It´s a fusion of sound design, composition and stage performance, and a chance for musicians to prove their skills on stage with a handy little computer and some knobs.
The Laptop Battle was invented in Seattle but became quite popular all over the world. Several shows were played in the USA, GERMANY, JAPAN and the UK. Now the time has come for a New Zealand battle!

New Zealand - BeST Design Awards
Best Design Awards were announced quite recently. This gives a nice overview of the more commercial side of New Zealands design business. The BeST Design Awards are a national award programme of the Designers Institute of New Zealand, recognising New Zealand's best graphic, product and spatial design.
