I am a third year graphic design student at The Art Institute of California - San Diego. I am about to graduate and enter the seemingly bitterly competitve world of graphic design. I am excited to get out in the work force but also scared to try my luck at a career that is often compared to getting a job as an actor in Hollywood.

Style
I am sitting here pondering on when I am going to get my big break. I have designed in school for three years now with no defined style or anything that I can get excited about. Teachers tell me that my work is good because it shows I can perform many different design styles and needs but that doesn't interest me. I am waiting for one day to have an idea or technique just hit me that inspire the world. Shepard Fairy stumbled across a picture of André the giant and cut a stencil and started a revolution. Joshua Davis merged programming with design to form some of the most badass collage, technical designs that have influenced thousands. I want to know what I am good at and what the hell is going to make me stand out from the brilliance of designers that are out there. Am I going to be innovative in my typography or am I going to invent a process of creation that is going to be extremely unique. Ill keep searching...
