Giles Revell was born in Sawbridgeworth, Herts in 1965. Giles lives, works and exhibits in London. Giles’ work is influenced by seminal fine art and conceptualism, producing graphic, ideas-based imagery. In 2001 Giles was sponsored by NESTA, the lottery funded arts body to produce the 'Insect Techtonics' project. A series of 12 beautiful and heroic prints of insects were created using a scanning electron microscope and digital software to reveal sculptural and engineering qualities of the common British insects.

Big Active is an agency involved in music design, art direction, illustration and photography. Big Active have completed work on the new Beck album entitled 'the Information'. The album is sold featuring blank packaging, each CD will contain one of four different stickers sheets, each featuring original images by 20 different artists commissioned and curated by Big Active and Beck, forming 250 stickers in total. The idea is that the listener is then free to customize their CD or create their own album cover and booklet using the kit of source material contained within.

We Should Do It All is there name. And they can! I like there typographical approach and clean, bright (or should that be brilliant?!) lay-outs. No surprise that they have been selected for the Art Director’s Club, Young Guns exhibition. The ADC Young Guns competition awards the most exciting young talent in visual communications.

Pingmag's interview with Shigesato Itoi is very weird and inspiring. What do you think about this quote? "..But what about the song, “Let It Beâ€. Why did the Beatles call it that? “Let It Be†sounds strange. What does it imply? How should it be? A current version of “Let It Be†would be “Just Do It". What is it? Who is it addressed to?.." The cartoonist behind animated band Gorillaz has been nominated for the £25,000 Designer of the Year award. Jamie Hewlett co-created the group with ex-Blur star Damon Albarn. Jamie is also known for drawing the cult-comic Tankgirl. He was one of four nominees for the annual prize, organised by the Design Museum of London. Public voted the Designer of the Year in May.
