Foan is a dreamer. Born in 1982 at the city of Lisbon in Portugal.
The search of visual culture was something that always been present in his life.
Illustration was an approach that Foan found to reflect about everything that he encounter, live for and witness.
His first lecture on communication design was given with 25 years old and presently
is involved in various graphic and media projects. His work and articles have been published in several art/design books, magazines and websites.
He has worked for international brands like Coca-Cola, Martini, Samsung and more.
The work inspiration varies with his sense of humor!
“From the female body that I revere until my eyes get weary (…) I’m inspired in the animal world that I like to change agreeing to my anger or mood, creating beings that aren’t more that metamorphosis developed on my head.”
Currently is our own art director and work for other shops and agency’s.

SPEAKERDOG PAPER TOY
The Speakerdog Paper Toys Project lauched the 3rd Series of 35 incredible toys designed by creatives from all over the world.
Three of those creatives are portuguese:
Foan, (Illustrator of Ruadesign Colective), Paulo Arraiano and Faj.
WE HATE GLUE
After a great success that I LOVE BEER MATS had, that it sets on the customization of cup mates, Mars Bar now gives for finish the second project inside the same scope: WE HATE GLUE.
This project was developed trough the creatives customization from around the world by paper arcade machines.
Among the involved creatives there were two Portuguese; one of them is Foan from Ruadesign
Collective designers.
The WE HATE GLUE exhibition will be present beginning on June 7th at Urban zoo Shop in Valencia – Spain
