More networking features
We are currently alpha-testing the heart of a new thing on profile pages. My Computerlove has now a Profile Feed (screenshot) that aggregates personal alerts on discussions within the community, and notifications about your friends activity. This should enable more interactions between members within the whole site, and transform personal networks into a daily entertaining thing... This will be released publicly before christmas.

Shirts in production
We can't wait to see the winning designs of the TDC 2007 crafted! The process is a bit long but the tees should be available for purchase in Europe in january, and in US/Asia later in the 1st 2008 quarter. The winners' gifts will be shipped this week-end. Also, Computerlove has teamed up with some of your favorite artists to create an exclusive serie of extra-limited tees. More info to come.

About Woomp!
Most of you might have noticed that all Woomp! datas are now located at mm.cpluv.com. Both login systems are now working together. It takes us so much time to make working a descent solution. Now, we are working on a push button interface to create/ manage your galleries directly within Computerlove. Stay tuned!

Winners of the Computerlove TDC 2007

Clap you hands! Following the results of Jury and Computerlove Contributors' votes,
the Winners of the T-shirt Design Contest 2007 are:

1st Place: Somewhere Else
Author: Brandon WIlson aka Weebles
Prize: a 8 GB Apple iPhone.

Utopia, or at least some sort of better existence, always seems to be wherever I am not at the time. I often imagine myself in a pristine landscape far removed from all my cares. And that's as real as it gets. Eventually I have to stop wishing and deal with things.

2nd Place: A men utopia
Author: Francesco Muzzi aka Mootsie
Prize: a 4 GB Apple iPhone

3rd Place: Turn right darling, now!
Author: David Loewe
Prize: a Nintendo Wii

We have decided to offer a Nintendo DS as Special Prize for the 4th place, very close to n°3 in the final results.

4th Place: Empty Quote
Author: Arnaud Marquez aka Syn

This quote is from Emmanuel Kant - in french : « Des pensées sans contenu sont vides, des intuitions sans concepts, aveugles. » I wanted a graphical metaphor to express the lack of consistency in our modern societies. My utopia would expect higher thinking in every fields.

Next places are: 5) Spread love, no war, no lawyers, be freedom, 6) There / Vege utopia Ex aequo, 7) Drops, 8) The nail world, 9) Utopic world, 10) Materialistic utopia

Thanks to Rob Ford, Jeffrey Zeldman, Jon Burgerman, Adam Fletcher, all the Computerlove Contributors for their help regarding the judging process, and to all artists for supporting this event.

Limited-edition tees will be available soon for purchase. Stay tuned!

TDC 2007 Update

Since the beginning of the T-shirt Design Contest some users have decided to create a lot of false profiles to increase their popularity, or just to comment entries. And so on, the results are actually completly false.

To solve this problem we have decided to cancel the Public vote.
The new submission deadline is November 4.

To elect the finalists, the submissions will be rated by Computerlove Contributors. Then the finalists list will be reviewed by the Judges Team, to finally award the 3 winning designs.

Thank you for your support.

How to become Newsfeed Contributor ?

A lot of members recently asked us how we elect the new Computerlove Newsfeed Contributors. So, here is the response:

- We monitor members' blogs to find the new guns. When we find a potential contributor, we simply upgrade his status and send him a message.
- We give our 5 stars to bloggers for posting great and fresh stuff with more than one line of text, plus images/ videos, in their blog.

Anyway, its possible that we miss something! If you think you should be a Newsfeed Contributor, send us an email with a link to your blog (located here or somewhere else), or leave a comment here if you have any suggestion.

----

Update: David Quiles Guillo (Editorial/ Creative Director, ROJO), Paulo Martinez (Creative Director, Ginga), David Carvalho, and Son Dolo are now Newsfeed Contributors.
