Andrio Abero is a graduate from the Art Institute of Seattle who worked at Electronic Arts and established his own studio, 33rpm, in 2000. Andrio's work relies heavily on the screenprinting process and has been featured in numerous publications, and many national exhibitions. Publications include: Print and Seattle Sound magazine, Die Gestalten Verlag, and How Design books. Exhibitions including Museum of Design in Atlanta 'Graphic Noise', Seattle's Experience Music Project Northwest poster retrospective 'Paper Scissors ROCK', the Galleries of the Texas Tech School of Art's 'Graphic Content', Washington D.C.'s Transformer Gallery 'Gleaming The Screen', New Orleans' Radici Gallery 'Visual Aid', as well as the American Poster Institute's 'Flatstock' 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10. Notable awards include 1st place in 'AltPick Awards' 2004, 2005 & 2007, the Art Directors Club of New York's 'Young Guns 4' awards, and was semi-finalist in the New York Cut & Paste design tournament. Andrio helped found a public screen-printing program and facility at the Vera Project, a non-profit music and art center for youth, where he taught printing while continuing to produce award-winning work for Seattle's vibrant music scene. Andrio now lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

So-Cal Fire Poster Project
My print for the So-Cal Fire Poster Project is almost done, just need to have it printed. Other notable designers include: Modern Dog, Luba Lukova, Paul Frank, Shepard Fairey, Wink Inc., Steve Barretto, Ed Templeton, Mike King, Andy Jennkins, Srojo, Bernie Tiano, Hammer Press, Michael Osborne, Terry Marks, Don Clark, Grant Brittain, Hatch Show Print and David Carson. Very happy and honored to be a part of it.

ALTPICK AWARDS WINNER
I recieved four awards in this years Altpick Awards. A first place in the jury design category, a second place in the jury series category, another first place in the popular design category and another second place in the popular series category. Also, check out my Bjork poster at the new Post Expose! Long Island City Screen Printing and Design Center, which opened last Friday. A few of my illustrations will be featured in the soon to be released book Illusive 2, published by Die Gestalten Verlag. I've also been invited to design a t-shirt for Threadless Select.
