Diseno Shakespear | Buenos Aires

A family-owned design consultancy founded in Argentina by Ronald Shakespear nearly 50 years ago, Diseño Shakespear is constantly transforming and evolving. Today, the multidisciplinary design company is run by Ronald, his daughter Barbara, and his sons Lorenzo and Juan, and specializes in corporate identity programs, corporate architecture, wayfinding systems, urban furniture design, web and literature design, and communications strategy. This exhibition groups decades of extraordinary production like the wayfinding systems for the Buenos Aires Underground, Temaikèn Zoo, Tren de la Costa, the Buenos Aires City Visual Plan, Public Hospitals, and more.

IDEA n° 323 : Wim Crouwel

Don't miss IDEA's latest issue (# 323) entitled Wim Crouwel's adventures into the experimental worlds. It is specially dedicated to Wim Crouwel's representative design works, including posters, book designs, logotypes, stamps, typefaces and others. Tiger Translate - Gold

Tiger Translate is a platform which enables emerging Asian artists within the fields of art, design, film, photography and music to venture onto the world stage. The GOLD gallery has been recently updated featuring different works from the Tiger Asian Kinetic Artists. The book is already out now with with IdN featuring "Rise", "Merge" and "Gold", with contributions by over 75 artists from over 15 countries.

[The Brief]
Each artist was allocated a random year [1957 - 2006] from Helvetica’s lifetime. From this they were asked to create an image based on an event of creative or cultural significance which occured during their allocated year. The artist were asked to consider the relevance of Helvetica when creating their final piece, there were no other rules applied other than if they used a typeface it must be Helvetica.

The 50 exhibition runs at the Design Museum in 2 installments:

1982 - 2006
10 August – 31 August 2007
