MAX HATTLER + ROBERT SEIDEL JAPAN TOUR

MAX HATTLER + ROBERT SEIDEL JAPAN TOUR
22 April – 27 May 2008

Multi-award winning filmmakers and media artists Max Hattler (UK/Germany) and Robert Seidel (Germany) will be travelling Japan for five weeks. They will perform audio-visual live sets, give talks and screen their films in art spaces, cinemas, film festivals, clubs and universities all over the country.

Their extensive tour starts in Tokyo from 22/4 to 10/5, with their first appearance at Pecha Kucha Night at SuperDeluxe. From 11/5 to 25/5 they will visit Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nagoya, closing with lectures and screenings at Planet Studyo. Highlights include 90-minute presentations at Uplink Factory and Image Forum Festival, live audio-visual performances at Liquid Rooms and Seco Lounge, an exhibition at Dohjidai Gallery of Art and a talk at Kyoto Saga Art University. After a mysterious prologue in a Christmas tree ornaments-filled "starscape", Turkish Clark Kent is told by his parents that he is an Alien from space and that he must leave to accomplish his destiny. Büro Destruct Stifles

The Stifles are little creatures who spend all of their time kneeling and watching human activities. Their favorite spots are public spaces like coffee bars, windows and shop displays. But they also love to get taken around by you since they won't move by themselves. It is not known where they originally came from, but they seem to have adopted certain aspects of human culture.

The first series reveals 8 from an unknown amount of different species to be uncovered. Charakter-design by Lopetz (Büro Destruct), vinyl toy, limited edition, different colors, 60 x 30 mm.

11. The beautiful foosball game.

11 is a collaboration of two companies — Gro Design and Tim modelmakers — each contributing their world-class specialist skills to this showcase project. Exhibited during the Milan Design Week 2008, 16th - 21st April, Via Forcella 8, Milan, Italy
