The NO!SPEC campaign: Serves as a vehicle to unite those who support the notion that spec work devalues the potential of design and ultimately does a disservice to the client.

Our mission: To educate the public about speculative, or 'spec' work.

Our target: Those who use creative services, as well as creative professionals (designers, photographers, illustrators, typographers, writers and those in marketing, branding and advertising).

What you can do: Place a "NO!SPEC" logo on your site. Sign the NO!SPEC petition. Distribute the "NO!SPEC" posters. Contact us with your thoughts, comments, articles and insights.

Requirements: The only requirement for participation is putting the appropriate value on your profession. "

Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced the call for entries for the eighth annual Adobe® Design Achievement Awards (ADAA). The awards honor talented and promising student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, developers and computer artists from the world's top institutions of higher education. Submissions will be accepted online through May 2, 2008. The online submissions will be judged digitally in May and semifinalists will be asked to submit their source files and a physical aspect of their entry as it is meant to be viewed for the final phase of judging. Finalists will be invited to New York and win cash and software prizes.

David Gensler serve's as a judge for the ADAA - while the KDU provide additional media support.

This is truly the beginning of a new chapter in space exploration, with plans to build a permanent Lunar base before 2020 and with Japanese, Chinese spacecraft already orbiting the moon.

im digging zune originals! :D

wow! when i saw these pics at cool hunting my jaw dropped. these new zune originals really looked nice. they will be made availble in zuneoriginals.net. zune originals is a collection of 27 original works by 18 different artists designed to be engraved onto the back of the device. microsoft commissioned these artists to create designs for the 2nd gen zunes. and the sweetest part: these designs are free if you purchese it from the site!

the sad part is they arent compatible with macs :( but i think im getting one anyway.. :D click on the link to view the other designs by artists like catalina estrada, chisato shinya, colletivo, parskid and lots more!
