Adrian Frutiger enters the European Design Hall of Fame
Adrian Frutiger is the third person to be inducted in the European Design Hall of Fame.
This is a distinction voted for, not by a panel of judges, but by the european creative community.
Unfortunately, due to health issues he wasn't able to attend himself the ED-Awards ceremony to pick up his prize. Instead, Thierry Hausermann, publisher of the swiss magazine idPure paid him a visit and recorded his message to the community. Here you can see parts of this "interview".

Browse-my-Face
Along with Opera's new acid test 3 beating browser Opera 10 (beta) and Opera Unite webserver on a browser, there's some other nifty features too. While 'another beta browser' is not all that exciting, Opera are further developing their gesture based input options, enhancing their mouse gestures and now adding webcam 'facial gesture' as a browser control method.

CreativeCraft: Blake E. Marquis
CreativeCraft is a new series from Computerlove offering a candid glimpse into the work spaces and everday lives of creative individuals.
By Matthew Newton, Senior Editor
Designer/illustrator Blake E. Marquis lives and works in New York City. The 26-year-old, whose handmade and elegant art is wrought with emotion, has been on a steady rise in recent years — exhibiting in galleries while maintaining a growing roster of commercial clients (Banana Republic, Capitol Records, Honda, etc.). Marquis has also hopped from city-to-city, living in Los Angeles, Boston, and now New York City, where he seems at home.
When I catch up with Marquis to talk about his daily work habits, he informs me that he wakes each day at 8 a.m. and heads for coffee at nearby Le Colombe Torrefaction (link below). Once back at the studio he tunes in to Hoaward Stern on Sirius while settling in for a day spent behind the computer, bent over a work table, or usually a combination of the two. He goes on to explain the most important aspects of a good workspace: Not too hot, not too cold; peace and quiet; space; and close proximity to good coffee (which he's found) and food.
In the latest installment of CreativeCraft, Mr. Marquis provides Computerlove with a candid glimpse into his New York City workspace. We hope you enjoy the view.
